Georgia voters have turned out in record numbers for early voting in the 2024 election, breaking previous benchmarks set during high-profile races. When early voting locations closed yesterday, over 591,000 ballots have been cast, with over 313,000 Georgians voting on Tuesday alone. This unprecedented surge surpasses early voting levels from the 2020 presidential election and the 2022 midterms.
Election officials credit efforts to expand early voting access, including extended hours and additional polling locations, for boosting participation. “Georgia voters are smart. Despite years of lies from Stacey Abrams, failed lawyers, and ‘experts’, Georgia voters shattered records…and came out in record numbers because they know Georgia’s voting system is secure, efficient, and accurate,” said Secretary Raffensperger. “That’s why we’re at the top for election integrity and voter convenience. We’re battle tested and ready to serve every legal Georgia voter.”
Early voting options have become more accessible in Georgia, with voters able to cast their ballots at any polling place within their county. Georgians who wish to vote early must do so by November 1st.
