The Atlanta Regional Commission has announced a $200,000 grant from Google to fund the Pathways to the Digital Economy initiative, a workforce development program designed to expand access to the tech sector for young adults through digital skills training.
The program, known as PADE, is a partnership between the ARC and the Technical College System of Georgia. It will be managed by WorkSource Atlanta Regional’s NextGen Program, an arm of the ARC, which will recruit participants and business partners to help establish the initiative.
The grant represents a privately funded approach to workforce development, pairing industry investment with existing state educational infrastructure to build a pipeline of digitally skilled workers for Georgia’s growing technology sector.
